Open House for Mount Olive Programs Will Be Thurs., September 1st, 2011
PrimaDonna Girls Circle (Ages: 11-14; 15-18)
Each week, a group of ten girls of similar age and development meet with a facilitator for two hours. During this time, the girls take turns talking and listening to one another about their concerns and interests. The girls express themselves further through creative or focused activities such as role playing, drama, journalling, poetry, dance, drawing, collage, clay, and so on. Often themes are introduced which relate to the girls’ lives, such as being a girl, trusting ourselves, friendships, body image, goals, competition, and decision-making.
Primmy Pre's (Ages: 6-10)
Group designed specifically for the little princesses of our community. This group was created to encourage young girls to be proud of who they are and to promote GIRL POWER. Primmy Pre's combines Girls Circle groups, literary circles and fitness/wellness.
PrimaDonna's Keep It Moving!! (Ages: 6-18)
Exercise program created for girls ages 6-18 including aerobics, Zumba Fitness Classes, Tennis Lessons, Dance Classes, Cycling, Swimming and nutrition classes. This program shows our girls that no matter what size or shape...real PRIMADONNA'S KEEP IT MOVING, right into a healthy lifestyle.
PrimaDonna Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Club (Ages: 12-18)
Club provides a teen pregnancy prevention curriculum to prevent and address problems associated with teen pregnancy.
PrimaDonna Project PEAR/PrimaDonna READ (All Ages)
(PrimaDonna's Empowered to Achieve Results) provides the females in Mount Olive with an afterschool program that teaches them how to build self-esteem and promote self-sufficiency through education and the arts. Our program caters to middle and high school students in the rural Mount Olive area and provides them with positive alternative activities 4 days a week for 10 months. PrimaDonna Pay It Forward: Do Something Club (Ages 14-18)
A group for high school girls who want to make a difference in the world and are willing to do anything to help people in need.
PrimaDonna Parents In Charge
A parent involvement committee designed for parents, by parents, and directed by parents. Parents meet and discuss parenting issues as well as school policies and community-wide problems.
